The Hashira, revered for their great strength, are the most highly ranked members of the Corps, second only to the leader of the organization. Mizunoto are roughly paid around 20,000 yen whereas Hashira are paid as much as they want. Each new Demon Slayer is also assigned one of a rare species of talking bird for communication purposes.
